FLORENCE — Rumaldo Bingochea, 82, of Florence died on Jan. 9, 2013, at Devon Gables Health Care Center in Tucson.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Jose Maria Corvera. Burial will be in Florence Cemetery.
Mr. Bingochea was born on Sept. 28, 1930, in Superior. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and later worked as an auto mechanic, which he loved. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, travel and searching for antique treasures.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Bingochea of Cerritos, Calif., Lawrence Bingochea of Phoenix and Javier Bingochea of Casa Grande; four daughters, Dorothy Cardenas of Coolidge, Mara Gutierrez of Florence, Lillean De La Cruz of Phoenix and Amanda Guilin of Florence; a brother, Armando Bingochea of Florence; two sisters, Margarita Ybarra and Rosa Daniels of Superior; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca; a son, Patrick Bingochea; three brothers, Willie, Manuel A. and Jose R. Bingochea; and a sister, Mary Lou Fay.
