SACATON - Ruth Ann Armstrong, 86, died peacefully on July 1, 2020, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Mrs. Armstrong was born on Oct. 12, 1933, in Sacaton to Francis and Theresa Isk. With her late husband Virgil, she oversaw the Gila River Catholic ministries for 15 years from the mid-1980s to the late-1990s before retirement.
She was an avid George Strait, Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals fan and loved to dance and listen to chicken scratch music.
Survivors include a son and four daughters, Preston Goulette Jr., Wanda Goulette, Carol Armstrong and Ann Antone, all of Sacaton, and Stephanie Goulette of Blackwater; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Salkey; two brothers, Philbert and Leo Isk; and her husbands, Preston Goulette Sr., Bruce and Virgil Armstrong.
Graveside service at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery with COVID-19 guidelines in effect.
