SACATON - Ruth Alice Johns, 75, of Sacaton died on Dec. 21, 2013, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
The celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Sacaton, with Elder Cyrus Johnson officiating. A graveside service will be held in Co-op Village.
Mrs. Johns was born on March 26, 1938, in Phoenix and was a daughter of Esan and Alice Joseph. She was a dental assistant and liked to do puzzles, watch church services on TV and play piano at church. She was a Phoenix Suns fan, loved cats, loved her dogs Buddy and Chula, collected ceramic cats and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Johns of Sacaton; two daughters, Deborah Antone of Sacaton and Susan Ranger of Casa Blanca; a brother, Albert Joseph of Sun Lakes; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin; a daughter, Joni Jim; and a brother, Edward Joseph.
