COOLIDGE - Sadie Martin, 93, of Coolidge, a native of the area who was a teacher for many years, died Feb. 9, 2008 in Prescott.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Valley Memorial Park, with Pastor Jack Grover officiating.
Ms. Martin was born to Homer and Rachel Martin on Jan. 13, 1915 in La Palma, south of the future site of Coolidge, and was a lifelong Arizona resident. She was a teacher in Coolidge for many years and, as a young woman, took care of her parents. She was a member of the Coolidge Historical Society, Central Arizona College Foundation and Coolidge Woman's Club.
Survivors include a sister, Isabelle Ellis of Coolidge, and three brothers, Morris Martin of Prescott, Jack Martin of Lake Havasu City and Web Martin of Raleigh, N.C. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cletus Martin.
