Sally Edwina Burgemeyer

Sally Edwina Burgemeyer, born on March 18, 1937, in Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on August 29 , 2024, in Marana, Arizona, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. A loving and devoted family matriarch, Sally's presence illuminated the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven with humor, kindness, and a remarkable spirit. Sally was a woman of many interests, she passionately engaged in activities that brought joy to her and those around her. She loved bowling and karaoke, where her spirited performances could fill a room with laughter and song. Her culinary skills were noteworthy; she always delighted family gatherings with her cooking and baking that not only nourished but nurtured the soul. Whether sewing something beautiful or keeping the rhythm with her maracas, Sally infused her life with creativity and love.

Sally leaves behind her cherished children: Ron Burgemeyer of Casa Grande, Lisa Quintana of Casa Grande, and Jeannine Burgemeyer of Mesa. Her legacy continues to grow through her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit in their hearts.

Preceding Sally in death were her devoted parents, Pedro and Maria Madueno, her beloved husband George Burgemeyer, her daughter Patricia Burgemeyer, and her seven brothers and two sisters. Their memories alongside her will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.

To honor the remarkable woman that Sally was, visitation will be held on September 7, 2024, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona, starting at 8:30 AM. A rosary will follow at 9:00 AM, leading into a mass celebrated in her memory at 10:00 AM. Those attending are invited to gather in remembrance of Sally’s heartfelt love, laughter, and lasting impact—a legacy that will forever resonate within her family and friends.
