Sam Rocha Martinez

Sam Rocha Martinez, 18, of Casa Grande died May 22, 2007 at RTA Hospice House.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The wake will follow from 8 p.m. to sunrise at the Carra home, 45177 Milton St. in Ak-Chin. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Vah-ki Presbyterian Church in Casa Blanca, with the Rev. Imogene Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Vah-ki Cemetery.

Mr. Martinez was born July 24, 1988 in Phoenix. He liked to hang out with family and friends and always seemed to be on the phone. He loved to listen and dance to music and to make people laugh.

Survivors include his stepparents, Manuel and Christina Rodriguez; four brothers, Lucio Martinez Jr. of Ak-Chin, Manuel Rodriguez Jr. of Casa Grande, Brandon Belloc and Matthew Rodriguez of Casa Grande; three sisters, his twin, Samantha A. Martinez of Ak-Chin, Monica Rodriguez of Casa Grande and Abigail A. Rodriguez; and grandparents, Bernardino Carra Sr. of Ak-Chin and Paula Martinez of Maricopa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Martinez Sr., in 1989, and Molly Y. Carra, in 2001, and grandparents, Barbara Narcia-Carra, in 1999, and Alvaro Martinez, in 2000.
