SACATON FLATS - Sandra Ann Nish, 73, died on June 30, 2020, in Chandler.

Ms. Nish was born on Feb. 15, 1947, in Sacaton to Roy Williams Sr. and Elizabeth Pablo. She attended Pima Central Elementary School in Sacaton and Stewart Indian High School in Nevada. She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in education in 1984. She was a teacher for 36 years at Sacaton Elementary School and had been an educational assistant while obtaining her degree.

She loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful member for many years of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission and served as a Cursillo member in De Colores organization. She was a member of the Hashan Kehk Seniors Organization and involved in many activities, especially chair volleyball. Her hobbies included making flower arrangements, decorating and designing gourds and gardening. She touched many lives within her community.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Angelo and Nathaniel F. Pablo Jr. and Roy Williams Jr., and two sisters, Marcella and Lynette Williams. Survivors include five brothers, Telesphore Sr., Bonaventure Sr., Augustine Sr., Burdette and Fitzgerald; a sister, Yvonne Pablo, all of Hashan Kehk; four stepbrothers, Denny, Sherwin, Alvin and Keith Williams; and five stepsisters, Frances, Annette, Linda, Angie and Delma, all of Blackwater.

Wake from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at her home in Hashan Kehk. Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, at Our Lady of Victory Mission. Burial in Hashan Kehk Catholic Cemetery.
