Sarah Martinez Deluna

ELOY - Sarah Martinez DeLuna, 62, of Eloy died April 3, 2008 at RTA Hospice House in Casa Grande.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Ms. DeLuna was born April 8, 1945 in Eloy and was a daughter of Eva Silvas and Pedro Martinez. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah DeLuna Sherwood and Aida Macias of Eloy; three sons, Marcelino and Felipe DeLuna of Eloy and Juan Mesa of Casa Grande; three sisters, Mary Helen Nieto of Arizona City, Belen Samora of Indio, Calif., and Rosie Sousa of Tucson; seven brothers, Cosme Velasquez and Lupe Espinoza of Casa Grande, Robert Martinez of Arizona City, Thomas Martinez of Indio, Andy Silvas of Washington, Frank Silvas of Phoenix and Marcos Silvas of Casa Grande; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mateo Sarmienta, and two brothers, Genaro DeLaTorre and Angel Silvas.
