Sarah Osife

SACATON — Sarah Frances Osife, 71, died at home on July 26, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Simon Catholic Mission in San Simon Village, Tohono O'odham Nation. Burial will be in San Simon Cemetery.
Mrs. Osife was born on Sept. 16, 1940, in Pisinemo and was a daughter of Juan Celestine and Agatha Valisto. She was an educational assistant and was very family oriented and religious, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton. She helped everyone she could and enjoyed cooking and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Miguel of Stotonic; a son, John Osife of Stotonic; a brother, Jerome Celestine of San Simon; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; two sons, Melvin and James Osife; a sister, Lucy Mentus; and a brother, Erman Garcia.
