Shalamar Newsome

Shalamar Lavetta Newsome, 29, of Glendale died on May 29, 2013, at Maryvale Hospital in Phoenix.
A private service was planned.
Ms. Newsome was born on Jan. 17, 1984, in Phoenix. She was a college student pursuing her dreams in the medical field. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her children. She enjoyed swimming and doing her friends’ and family’s hair.
Survivors include a son, Ezikiel Burnstad of Phoenix; two daughters, Delavitt and Ayani Robinson of Glendale; her fiance, Stevell Neal of Glendale; her mother, Daphne Newsome of Glendale; her father and stepmother, Darnell and Irma Haygood of Casa Grande; three brothers, Dewayne Haygood of Casa Grande, Angel Suarez and Spencer Jourdan of Parker; two sisters, Sabrina Haygood of Casa Grande and Cheyenne Haygood of Parker; and grandmothers, Verta Haygood of Casa Grande and Liz Newsome of Glendale.
