Shamus Robertson

Shamus Hues Robertson, 33, of Phoenix died on March 15, 2015, at home.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today at Greater Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ in Casa Grande. The funeral will follow at 10, with Elder C.C. Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Robertson was born on Sept. 1, 1981, in Mesa. He worked as a document processor and was a big Steelers fan who enjoyed writing, drawing, spending time with friends, playing sports and building and working on computers.

He also enjoyed being with his family, especially his niece Aniya Robertson. He always tried to make people happy and "wore his heart on his sleeve." He was a good comforter, very funny and loyal. He loved his co-workers at the place he worked for 10 years.

Survivors include his parents, Mildred and Jimmy Robertson of Casa Grande; two sisters, Shamil Robertson of Salem, Oregon, and Nora Robertson of Seattle; and grandparents, Willie Skinner and R.B. Fowler of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by grandparents Robert Skinner and Mae Fowler.
