Sharlene Thomas

SACATON - Sharlene Thomas, 66, died June 2, 2009 at Gila River Skilled Nursing Center.


The wake will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the Thomas home. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. Burial will be in Sacaton West Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Sacaton and was a daughter of Albert and Consuela Jackson. She worked in the nursing field for 32 years. She loved her family and raised her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was a Gila River representative in 1962.

Survivors include two daughters, Dena Thomas and Annette Peters of Sacaton; a son, Anthony Thomas of Sacaton; a brother, Dean Jackson of Sacaton; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence.
