Shirley Bulfer

ARIZONA CITY — Shirley R. Bulfer, 85, of Arizona City died on July 12, 2011, at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel in Eloy, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church by the Rev. Juan Carlos Aguirre. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
Mrs. Bulfer was born on June 22, 1926, in Detroit and was a daughter of Emery A. and Mildred Herbert Johnson. She worked as a registered nurse for 15 years and was devoted to her family. She was a member of St. Helen of the Cross Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Thomas E.; three sons, Mark Bulfer of Northrop, Minn., Gary Bulfer of La Jolla, Calif., and Jay Bulfer of Desert Hills, Ariz.; two daughters, Lori Eichhorn of Arizona City and Jodi Haire of Phoenix; a sister, Ethel Bragalone of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bulfer.
