Socorro Melendez Ortega

Socorro Melendez Ortega, 59, of Casa Grande died on April 3, 2015, in Casa Grande.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated today in Cienega de Ortiz, Chihuahua, Mexico, with burial there.

Mr. Melendez was born on June 27, 1955, in Chihuahua. He was a farmworker and a hardworking man. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Susana; three sons, Francisco, Jose and Pedro Melendez, all of Casa Grande; a daughter, Ana Perez of Mesa; his father, Manuel Melendez of Chihuahua; four brothers, Manuel Melendez of Tucson, Francisco Melendez of El Paso, Texas, Modesto Melendez of Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and Guerrero Melendez of Chihuahua; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sofia Melendez, and a sister, Luciana Melendez.
