Socorro V. Ruiz-Bojorquez

Born in Ajo, AZ, to Gregorio and Maria Ruiz. She moved to the Coolidge area with her family as they looked for work on farms. She married Leovaldo Ortiz in the mid-1930's. After his death she married Jose C. Bojorquez. She cleaned theaters, the drive-in theater, and farmer's homes. She worked at the AZ Training Center at Coolidge before retiring. She was known for her gardening skill, she cooked meals to share with others and let no one around her go hungry. She was also a member of St. James Catholic Church.
