Solano Ricardo

SELLS — Solano Ricardo, 94, died on Feb. 15, 2012, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Archie Hendricks nursing home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. at the Catholic mission in San Luis Village, followed by rosary and wake at 7. Burial will be early Tuesday in San Luis Cemetery.
Mr. Ricardo was born on May 17, 1917, in Santa Rosa Village and was a son of Jose Ricardo and Jesusa Martinez. He served in the Army during World War II and was a farm laborer, working in cotton fields most of his life.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, including his guardian, Joseph M. Andrew of Sells. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Ricardo, and a sister, Christine Ricardo.
