CASA BLANCA - Stanford Cordell Long, 42, of Casa Blanca died on Jan. 24, 2014, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 1 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in North Blackwater Cemetery, with Joseph Enos officiating.
Mr. Long was born on July 27, 1971, in Sacaton. He was a firefighter for tribal government and also was an artist who enjoyed drawing and wood burning. He liked music and attending concerts. He also liked watching football and basketball and was an avid Arizona Wildcats and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include four brothers, Gerard A. and Ronald Long of Casa Blanca, Philbert Davis of South Dakota and Virgil Hayes of Salt River; a sister, Aileen Manuel of Tempe; 12 nephews; and six nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Long and Geraldine Juan; two brothers, Roger Davis and Lorin Long; and a sister, Cheryl Long.
