LONE BUTTE — Stanley T. Nelson Sr., 63, of Lone Butte died on June 25, 2012, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson home. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Monday at Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was born on Aug. 23, 1948, in Winslow and was a son of Blanche Spencer and Kee Nelson. He was an electrician and a member of Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed cooking, drawing and music and was a gifted artist. He loved spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Lola M.; two sons, Roger Nelson Sr. of Goodyear Village and Stanley Nelson Jr. of Sacaton; a daughter, Marlene Nelson of Lone Butte; two brothers, Charlie and Larry Nelson of Dilkon; four sisters, Lucy Lester and Irene Begay of Dilkon, Marie Nelson and Marlene Chase of Casa Grande; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
