Stephanie Tapia, 83, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 25, 2012.
Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 by the Rev. John Arnold. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Tapia was born on Oct. 7, 1929, in Yuma and was a daughter of Tomas Salas Martinez and Juanita Juarez. She was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping and cooking. She cherished her family most, especially enjoying time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of St. Anthony's Church, where she was a eucharistic minister, catechism teacher, greeter and Guadalupana member.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Juan Tapia Jr.; three daughters, Jennie Hernandez and Barbara Barron of Casa Grande and Patricia Henderson of Midland, Texas; a son, Frank Tapia of Arizona City; a brother, Juan Martinez of San Bernardino, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Jose J., Tommy and Richard Tapia Sr., and two brothers, Carlos Martinez and Jose Salas.
