On this day, Saturday July 21, 2018, the Lord called by name back to Heaven, Steven Hokama. He was 61 years old of Casa Grande, Az. Steven was born August 24. 1956 in Los Angeles, California.
Steven graduated from the Culinary Institute Of America in San Francisco, California. Chef certified masters degree in French cuisine, northern Italian cuisine, saucier, northern manager and operational budgets.
He was a prominent Executive Chef for 40 years. Exhibiting his expertise in catering businesses, in private golf-resorts, serving as a chef Consultant for Sodexo and diligently dedicating and Proudly serving the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years, each summer proving services to the Yucca Council at Camp Dale Resler, and with the Conquistador Council at Camp Wehinahpay and just this past summer at Clements Scout Ranch at Camp Tever Reese in Athens Texas. Chef was very much highly respected by staff and peers; family and friends, and will truly be missed!
Preceded in death by his mother Sally Hokama and brother Calvin K. Hokama. He is survived by his Father George Hokama and fiancé Leticia R. Rodriguez; his children; Skyler (Brianna) Sieanna Hokama, Whitney Cassman, and grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made at Boy Scouts of America; Camp Wehinephy, Camp NYLT Dale Resler, and/or Camp Trevor-Reese.
