Steven Charles "Steve" White, 60, died on Dec. 14, 2012, at the home where he was raised in Casa Grande.
Mr. White was born in Casa Grande and graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1971. He lived in the Phoenix area for most of his adult life and returned to Casa Grande in his later years. He had many talents, which he applied in assorted fields. He was a miner and a welder and also worked in the steel industry and managed his family's video stores.
In his later years, he provided care for his aging parents and shined in that role as a loving and devoted son. He was an avid reader with a special love of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Kurt Vonnegut and J.R.R. Tolkien. He loved nature and found great joy in fishing mountain streams, exploring the outdoors and all creatures great and small.
He is survived by his father, David White Sr.; three brothers, David, Mark and Kevin White; and his two children, Robert and Elizabeth.
Arrangements are pending with a private memorial service planned for the future.
Memorial donations may be made to Valley Humane Society.
