Susan B. Curtis

Susan B. Curtis, 68, of Florence died Dec. 9, 2008 at Hospice of Arizona.


The celebration of life was at 4 p.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with Chaplain Delbert Henderson officiating.

Ms. Curtis was born in Home, Pa. She worked at the Arizona Department of Corrections for 23 years and was administrative assistant to the deputy warden at Browning Unit in the Eyman Complex. She was involved in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing at work and also was actively involved in supporting veterans. She enjoyed sewing, playing bunco and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Deborah S. Owens of Casa Grande, Denise Fleming of Rifle, Colo., and Pauline Darci Gorman of Grand Junction, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Vicki Pinckney and Patti Gentilini of New Jersey; her parents, Alex and Margaret Botsford of New Mexico; two brothers, Albert Botsford of New Mexico and Charles Botsford of California; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
