CASA BLANCA — Sylvia M. Gaytan, 70, of Casa Blanca died on Aug. 17, 2012, at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Gaytan home. The funeral will be at 5 a.m. Monday at the Casa Blanca Baptist Church in Casa Blanca, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mrs. Gaytan was born on July 26, 1942, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Alfonso Lewis and Marilyn Pedro. She was a homemaker and loved music, her dog Georgia, being with her family and friends and communicating with people. She lived a simple life.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, David; three daughters, Genoveva Barrera and Mary Angeles of Claypool and Lisa Hernandez of Sacaton; five sons, Delton Lewis of Salt River, David Gaytan Jr., Jimmy and Milo Gaytan, all of Casa Grande, and Stephen Gaytan of Visalia, Calif.; her stepfather, Justin Pedro of Casa Blanca; four sisters, Phyllis Osife, Gloria Ramirez, Terri Enos and Kathy Espinoza, all of Casa Blanca; a brother, Daniel F. Lewis Sr. of Casa Blanca; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Antonio Barrera; and a brother, Richard Lewis Sr.
