Tara Day Nish

On May 23, 2024, Tara D. Nish, a beloved soul of only 28 years, passed, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew her. Born on December 1, 1995, to Danny Nish and Cristal Thomas, Tara brought warmth and joy wherever she went.

Tara solace in music and basketball, but it was her inner and outer beauty that truly captivated all who crossed her path. Despite any personal doubts she may have had, Tara's kindness and willingness to help others shone brightly. Her loving nature extended to being a devoted mother who adored preparing her signature dish - "Taco Salad" - for her family. Time spent with her children brought her immense joy.

Social at heart, Tara cherished moments with friends, whether out and about or engrossed in heartfelt conversations. Her presence on social media connected her with many friends, but it was a childhood bond that remained unbreakable. The story of how a pair of light-up shoes solidified a lifelong friendship continues to bring laughter to her family.

Tara is now reunited with her father, Danny Nish, in the realms beyond. She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her children Jordan Nish, Jazmine Nish, Jenny Nish, Joslyn Nish, and Taubrey Howard; her mother Cristal Thomas; and siblings Jessica Nish and Ian Nish.

A Memorial Mass honoring Tara's life will take place on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Parish. Visitation will follow at 5:00 PM at District Four Multipurpose Center. On June 11th at 7:00 AM, Tara will be laid to rest at St. Ann's Cemetery under the compassionate care of J. Warren.
