MARICOPA — Ted Griffin, 69, of Maricopa died on Nov. 16, 2012, at home.
A private service is planned.
Mr. Griffin was born on May 23, 1943, in Urbana, Ohio. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart Medal after being the only survivor of his combat platoon. He worked in the electrical field as a manager and enjoyed woodworking at his home shop, fishing, camping and NASCAR. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Maricopa.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Griffin; two sons, Sean Griffin of Valencia, Calif., and Sharlow Monroe of Diamond Bar, Calif.; two daughters, Lousendia and Ira Monroe of Comanche, Texas; a sister, Diane Griffin of California; and four grandchildren.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
