Tedd Parkhurst

CASA GRANDE - Tedd Parkhurst, 87, of Casa Grande died at home on July 25, 2016.

Mr. Parkhurst was born on Dec. 5, 1928, in Little Rock, Iowa, to Lester and Engelena (Schoon) Parkhurst. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in New Mexico and spent several years teaching at Evergreen Elementary School in Casa Grande.

In his earlier years he served in the Navy, which led to a love of travel. In his later years he spent his days peacefully listening to classical music, reading and watching the native birds of Arizona. He was a frequent guest at JB’s and IHOP restaurants in Casa Grande and enjoyed socializing with the staff. He was an intelligent, influential man with a grand sense of humor.

He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Haken.

Burial will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
