Teresa M. DeLeon, 71, of Casa Grande died on April 23, 2012, at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene. A service of remembrance will follow at 11, with Pastor Jerry Leastman officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. DeLeon was born on Jan. 11, 1941, in Mexico and was a daughter of Jose and Rita Morales. She was a homemaker and lived in Casa Grande since 1964. She faced many trials, including the loss of loved ones, and battled heart disease, diabetes and kidney failure for the last eight years of her life.
She touched the lives of all who knew her and was devoted to her family. She had faith, never gave up on life and was an inspiration. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, casino nights and music and was known for her singing voice.
Survivors include four daughters, Roxanne Anchondo, Rachel M. DeLeon Troell and Teresa M. DeLeon Colwell Jr., all of Casa Grande, and Virginia M. Wingate of Florence; three sons, Christopher R. and Jose J. DeLeon of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jose Angel DeLeon of Casa Grande; four sisters, Connie Hernandez and Martha Duran of Stanfield, Mary DeLaFuente and Rosie Rascon of Casa Grande; four brothers, Joe Morales of Florence, Angel Morales of Tucson, Ray and Roy Morales of Casa Grande; and 33 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Cresencio S. Sr.; a son, Cresencio DeLeon Jr.; a brother, Tony Morales; and a great-grandchild, Travon Troel Molina.
