Teresa Frances Wood

SANTA ROSA VILLAGE - Teresa Frances Wood, 68, of Santa Rosa died on Feb. 20, 2017, at Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson.

Mrs. Wood was born on July 17, 1948, in Covered Wells to Juan B. and Victoria (Joaquin) Lopez. She worked as a transport driver for Gu Achi District, Tohono O'odham Nation, for 10 years. She enjoyed traditional singing and basket weaving and played the traditional game toka.

Survivors include her husband, Jose M.; two sons and a daughter, Jason, Andreana and Terrence Wood; a brother, Simon Lopez; a sister, Andrea Domingo; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cheryl M. Ramon; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Santa Rosa by the Rev. Bill Minkel. Wake to follow at the Simon Lopez home in Santa Rosa. Burial at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, in Southside Cemetery. All choirs and traditional groups welcome.
