Teresa Menchaca, 61, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 20, 2014 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. John Arnold.
Ms. Menchaca, co-owner and chief executive officer of Corazon Integrated Healthcare Services, was born on July 25, 1952, in Casa Grande. She graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a master’s degree in social work. She and Esma Tejada founded Corazon in 2002 to honor the memory of their son, Ricardo "Chapo" Tejada, who died in a car accident in 1995. They expanded Corazon in 2010 and opened offices in Nogales and Douglas.
She loved to watch movies. She was a huge fan of ASU, the Arizona Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She valued sharing her heart, blessings and love for the beauty of this world. She shared laughter, ASU, good music, drinks and the Pacific beach with family and friends. She was passionate about everything in her life - her family, friends and work. Her motto was: "We continue to take the journey together."
She is survived by her companion, Esma Tejada of Casa Grande; her mother, Rosario Dodson of Casa Grande; her stepfather, Frank Dodson of Casa Grande; one sister, Lupie Baeza of Casa Grande; and two brothers, Frank Menchaca of Casa Grande and John Menchaca of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her son, Chapo, and her father, Francisco Menchaca.
