Therese "Teri" Arenz, 78, formerly of Casa Grande, died May 13, 2007.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Arenz was born Sept. 10, 1928 in Chicago to Mathias and Hazel Kannen. She married Walt Arenz in 1953 and they raised three children in Casa Grande. She graduated from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy in 1971 and was the pharmacist at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge. She also assisted her husband in the family business, Valley Drug, in downtown Casa Grande.
She moved to Sedona after her husband's death in 1989 and in 1999 to Twin Falls, Idaho, to be closer to family. She particularly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren as well as striking up conversations with everyone she met. She was a worry-wart but was ready for fun at the turn of a joke. She was devoted to her family and was a gracious host of family get-togethers.
Survivors include a daughter, Jody Mallie of Tucson; two sons, David of Bel Air, Md., and Andy of Twin Falls; and 10 grandchildren.
The family suggests being kind to a stranger as a memorial gift.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
