Thanie Madewell

Thanie Madewell, 85, of Casa Grande died on June 21, 2013, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Eloy Memorial Park, with Pastor Harley Faber officiating.

Mrs. Madewell was born on March 7, 1928, in Harmony, Texas, and was a daughter of Stephen J. and Laura E. Doggett McKaughan. She was a school cafeteria manager. She loved being with her family and also enjoyed sewing, shopping with the children for school, reading the Bible and singing.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie D.; two sons, Dave Madewell of Coolidge and Lonnie Madewell Jr. of Eloy; a daughter, Melba Castro of Casa Grande; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara S. Madewell; four brothers; and seven sisters.
