Theodore "Ted" Staley

CASA GRANDE - Theodore "Ted" Staley, 76, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 4, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Staley was born on April 7, 1941, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Theodore Leon and Gladys Leach Staley. He and his wife moved to Casa Grande 14 years ago. He loved being outside and spent time working in his garden and attending to his fruit trees. They enjoyed traveling together and made a trip to Alaska in their fifth-wheel RV that was filled with wonderful memories.
He enjoyed fishing and purchased an old boat that he worked to restore so that he could take it out onto the lake. He was a private person who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. One tradition that he had was reading the newspaper, especially the Sunday edition. He also enjoyed meeting people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed his dog, Mandy.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; four daughters, Teresa Sabin, Christine Barnard, Kathleen Clark and Cheryl Staley; a son, Daniel Staley; a sister, Deloris Teagarden; a brother, James Staley; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
No formal service at his request.
