Theresa Margaret Beard

PICACHO - Theresa Margaret Beard, 84, of Picacho died May 6, 2007 at home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church in Eloy by the Rev. Walter Balduck. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Beard was born June 9, 1922 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a daughter of Joe and Filonelon (Cardinale) Romano. She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being a foster grandparent for 20 years at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge. She loved playing bingo with friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Beard of Casa Grande; a son, Gary Beard of Tucson; two sisters, Yolanda Manuel and Urinina Heyn of New York; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; a daughter, Linda Bates; two brothers, Joe and Frank Romano; and a sister, Mary Plutt.
