Thomas Charles Schwartz

Thomas Charles Schwartz, 80, of Eloy, AZ passed away on August 12, 2017 at Banner Medical Center. He was born on September 28, 1936 in Oak Park, IL to Andrew and Irene (Mittelstadt) Schwartz. Thomas graduated from Austin High School in Chicago and quickly joined the USMC. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and served for two years. After being honorably discharged, Thomas was appointed to the Chicago Fire Department in 1961. He served for 31 years and eventually retired as a lieutenant. In 1992, Thomas moved to Galena, IL and served as lieutenant in the Galena Volunteer Fire Department until 2004. Thomas married Frances Browe on November 3, 2001. They relocated to Eloy and established a life in the Robson Ranch
community in 2005. He has enjoyed his retirement and will be missed by all who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Frances; daughters, Heidi (Paul) Weinman of Illinois, Elizabeth Schwartz of Michigan, Kristin (Ed) Crawford-Cano of California; stepdaughter, Danelle Fron of Arizona; grandchildren, Carly, Catie and Carie Weinman, Amanda and Ashley Ditchman, Alex and Christian Crawford- Cano, Jared, Austin and Lacey Fron; nephew, Greg (Jenny) Schwartz; and brother, Dick Schwartz. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud, Gardens Chapel was in charge of local arrangements. At his request, no services will be held. Thomas requested that all memorial contributions be sent to St. Jude’s.
