Thomas D. Carter, 74, of Casa Grande died Jan. 19, 2008 in Tucson.
A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Raymond Wilson officiating.
Mr. Carter was born Nov. 28, 1933 in Cave Creek, Ark. He served in the Navy and was a truck driver. He later worked as a night watchman at Casa Grande's North Mountain Park and also part-time as a park ranger. He loved country music, the Arizona Diamondbacks and especially college basketball and football, with his favorite team being the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Survivors include two daughters; two brothers, Duane Carter of Valley Farms and Doyle Carter of Winkelman; and two sisters, Sarah Remley of Garfield, Ark., and Linda Smith of Coolidge. He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
