Thomas Pablo

SACATON — Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton for Thomas Pablo. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery. Mr. Pablo died on Feb. 4, 2009, and was buried in California but will be reburied in his native Gila River Indian Community.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1946, in Sacaton. He was a Vietnam War veteran and worked as a cook.
Survivors include five sisters, Hazel Lewis and Martina Terry of Sacaton, Virginia Encinas of Sells, Vera Manuel of Blackwater and Margery Jackson of Phoenix, and a brother, Manuel Pablo of Sacaton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Martin and Rose Pablo; and two brothers, Vincent Pablo Sr. and Victor Pablo Sr.
