BAPCHULE - Thomas Shane Antone, 22, of Bapchule died on Nov. 6, 2015, at home.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Antone family home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Mr. Antone was born on April 12, 1993, in Mesa. He was proud of his Gila River Pima and Northern Arapahoe heritage and was loved by his family and many friends from both tribes.
He was a traditional dancer, and his family was proud of that. He had a special love for animals, especially his dog, Bandit. Named for his grandfather, former Gov. Thomas R. White of the Gila River Indian Community, he was a Gold Star Brother, having lost his brother Cpl. Billy Farris in Iraq in 2006. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include his parents, Larry M. and Elizabeth T. Antone of Sacaton; a brother, Shaun Farris of Bapchule; and two sisters, April Antone of Phoenix and Denise Cruz of Mesa. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Brandon and Billy Farris; a sister, Krista Farris; and grandparents, Henrietta and Simon Antone.
