ARIZONA CITY — Tammy Mechelle Hinojosa, 30, and Timoteo Hinojosa Jr., 35, of Arizona City died on Dec. 6, 2012, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. The celebration of life there will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinojosa was born on Jan. 23, 1982, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked for Independent Living as a caregiver and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, placed third in the state in a culinary arts competition and had a culinary arts scholarship at Central Arizona College. She enjoyed watching movies, window shopping and spending time with her family, especially her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia R. "Cece" Hinojosa of Arizona City; her parents, Joyce E. and David Buchanan of Arizona City; a brother, David "Boogie" Buchanan of Arizona City; and a sister, Crystle D. Martinez of Arizona City. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Ruby Anders, David and Betty Jo Buchanan.
Mr. Hinojosa was born on March 28, 1977, in Casa Grande. He was an auto lube technician and worked for Home Depot. He loved spending time with family and friends and also enjoyed barbecuing, watching movies with his daughter, watching all sports, shopping for movies and sports memorabilia and watching "WrestleMania" with his daughter. He was an Arizona Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Cecelia R. "Cece" Hinojosa; his parents, Josephine and Timoteo Hinojosa Sr. of Eloy; a brother, Benito Hinojosa of Arizona City; and three sisters, Margarita Hinojosa of Arizona City, Frances and Rosa M. Hinojosa of Eloy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jorge and Eric Marcial, and grandparents, Timoteo and Benita Hinojosa.
