Tommy Stewart, 79, of Casa Grande died March 11, 2008.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Casa Grande, with Keith Sheppard officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mr. Stewart was born to Tom and Evelyn Stewart in Collinston, La. He served 25 years in the Navy, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired as an E-7. He then worked as a civil servant in the naval shipyard in Long Beach, Calif. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Chandler and loved to golf and visit with people.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, June; a son, William E. Stewart of Simi Valley, Calif.; a brother, Robert Stewart of Collinston; a sister, Glenda Price of Jasper, Ga.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Stewart.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
