BLACKWATER — Tony Gonzales, 40, of Blackwater died on April 30, 2010 in Casa Grande.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 1 Service Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Mission by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Gonzales was born on March 26, 1970 in Sacaton. He was a heavy-equipment operator and began working for Gila River Farms while in high school, continuing for many years. He graduated from Coolidge High School and from Central Arizona College, in heavy equipment. He loved his work as a scraper operator and would tell anyone who would listen about it.
He enjoyed working on cars, eating Mexican and Chinese food and dancing, especially to chicken scratch music. He was very outgoing and had many friends. He enjoyed teasing his five nieces and six nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them, especially his two children.
Survivors include a daughter, Teaya Gonzales of Santan; a son, Ty Gonzales of Santan; his parents, Juan T. Gonzales of Coolidge and Jennie Lou Jose of Blackwater; three brothers, Daniel and Jonathon Jose Jr. and Kevin Jose Sr., all of Blackwater; and three sisters, Annette Talieje, Frances Gonzales and Jacqueline Jose, all of Blackwater.
