Tyrone Kalka Sr.

SACATON - Tyrone Roland Kalka Sr., 53, died on May 9, 2014, at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church. The graveside service will be at 6 a.m. Saturday in Upper Santan Cemetery.

Mr. Kalka was born on March 22, 1961, in Sacaton. He served in the Army and was a landscaping worker. He enjoyed telling jokes and always put a smile on the faces of his friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Shantel Kalka of Santan; a son, Tyrone Kalka Jr. of Santan; four sisters, Toya Kalka of Coolidge, Joyce Kalka of California, Julie Kalka and Barbara Young of Santan; four brothers, Samuel Kalka of Sacaton, Roland Kalka of Coolidge, Clinton Kalka of Phoenix and O’Neil Young of Santan; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton S. Kalka and Lucille Antone, and two sisters, Chandice Kalka and Colleen Young.
