Valentina R. Hernandez

Valentina R. Hernandez, 90, of Casa Grande died on May 22, 2015, at home.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. George Kunnel. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on Feb. 14, 1925, in Edinburg, Texas, and was a daughter of Ramon Riojas and Marcelina Santoy. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony’s Church who enjoyed making rosaries and donating them to the church. She enjoyed hobbies, reading, sewing, collecting angels and cooking. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane H. Molina and Lupe Corrales of Casa Grande; a son, Martin R. Hernandez of Casa Grande; a stepdaughter, Paula Molina of Woodsboro, Texas; a sister, Paula Balderas of Yakima, Washington; a brother, Jose F. Riojas of Prosser, Washington; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo V.; a brother; and three sisters.
