Venesta Moore, 55, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 16, 2014, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will be at 10, with Minister Donnie Roye officiating. Burial will be in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
Mrs. Moore was born on Oct. 23, 1958, in Brawley, Calif. She was a homemaker and earlier worked on the team that developed Navstar, now known as GPS. She was a published, award-winning poet.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Raymond; three daughters, Porsche and Vanessa Bogar of Brawley and Amanda Moore of Greenville, Va.; three sons, Robert Bogar of Riverside, Calif., Gregory Moore of Virginia Beach, Va., and Daniel Moore of Waynesboro, Va.; four sisters, Emma Anderson of Los Angeles, Charlesetta Jones of Oceanside, Calif., Betty Morrison of El Centro, Calif., and Patti Jones of Parsippany, N.J.; four brothers, Gene Jones of Sacramento, Calif., Shelley Jones of California and Michael and Sylvester Jones of El Centro; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Jones Sr. and Lady Mae Brown; a brother, Tom Jones Jr.; and a sister, Sylvia Jean-Louis.
