Ventura Montijo

ELOY - Ventura Montijo, 67, of Eloy died on Oct. 5, 2015.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 1:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 by the Rev. Ariel Lustan. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Montijo was born on Feb. 9, 1948, in Ysleta, Texas. She was a gift shop cashier and enjoyed teaching catechism at St. Helen’s Church. She also enjoyed listening to romantic music, dancing, going to casinos and spending time with her family. She put everyone else first.

Survivors include her parents, Francisco L. and Maria J. Juarez of Eloy; five sisters, Alicia Ramirez of Eloy, Petra Roman of Maricopa, Elena Escarcega of Casa Grande, Angelita Flores and Corina Juarez of Eloy; and seven brothers, Francisco, Fernando, Gerardo, Santiago and Bernardo Juarez, all of Eloy, Jorge Luis and Juan Juarez of Casa Grande. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel.
