Victoria Carrasco

CHANDLER - Victoria Carrasco, 78, of Chandler died on Oct. 10, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley Dobson Home.

Mrs. Carrasco was a homemaker. She was born in Imuris, Mexico, on Jan. 23, 1938, to Antonio and Maria Diaz. She was strong in her faith and was always welcoming everyone to her home. Before Christmas, she would spend days making tamales. Her house always smelled wonderful from her cooking.

She is survived by a daughter, Toni Carrasco of Chandler; a son, Bernie Carrasco of Chandler; two brothers, Antonio Diaz of Eloy and Alejandro Diaz of Imuris; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Michelle Carrasco and Julie Carrasco.

The service will be on Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Coolidge, with rosary recited at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 by the Rev. Adolfo Martinez.
