Victoria Soliz

MARICOPA — Victoria C. Soliz, 69, of Maricopa died on April 2, 2012, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Soliz was born on Nov. 17, 1942, in George West, Texas, and was a daughter of Martin and Sarah G. Carbajal. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Maricopa. She enjoyed cooking, watching novelas on TV and spending time with her family, especially at cook-outs.
Survivors include her husband, Merse M.; seven sons, Leandro Soliz of Roswell, N.M., Danny Soliz of Casa Grande, Ruben Soliz of Maricopa, Paul Soliz of Casa Grande, EddieJohn, Harvey and Victor Soliz, all of Maricopa; a daughter, Gregoria Olivarez of Parma, Idaho; four brothers, Benny Carbajal of Phoenix, Ambrosio Carbajal of Lamesa, Texas, Manuel and Martin Carbajal of George West; two sisters, Gregoria Leal and Dominga Rodriguez of George West; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Modesta Peralta and Aurelia Pena, and a brother, Jesse Carbajal.
