ELOY — Vicente Duran, 77, of Eloy died on Oct. 24, 2012.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel, with rosary recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Duran was born on Feb. 25, 1935, in Pueblito de Allende, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a miner before starting a business, working at that until he retired. He enjoyed being with his family, listening to Mexican music and travel. He always had a smile and was known for his generosity.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Maria de Jesus Duran; two sons, Guadalupe Duran of Coolidge and Vicente Duran of Blackwater; four daughters, Manuela Melendez, Angelica and Martha Duran and Soledad Nungaray, all of Eloy; a sister, Gabina Duran of Chihuahua; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Remedios Duran.
