COOLIDGE — Viola L. Aguayo, 71, of Coolidge died on Aug. 31, 2010, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, with rosary recited at noon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. by the Rev. Virgilio Tabo. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Ms. Aguayo was born on March 11, 1939, in Tucson and was a daughter of Emparo Lopez. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She was their rock. She was strong-willed, kind, generous, well-known and well-liked, and was called the “Aguayos’ Mom.” She was a God-fearing woman and a multitasker. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Survivors include five sons, David Garcia of Coolidge, Fermin Aguayo of Apache Junction, Carlos Aguayo of Coolidge, George Aguayo of Apache Junction and Daniel L. Aguayo of Laguna Hills, Calif.; five daughters, Carmen Verduzco of Coolidge, Guadalupe Dugins of Coleman, Ala., Consuelo “Rachel” Aguayo of Phoenix, Marie “Irene” Aguayo and Teresa “June” Aguayo of Coolidge; a brother, Roy Lopez of Coolidge; two sisters, Martha Lopez of Tempe and Elodia Seiden of Tucson; 30 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Pedro Aguayo; two brothers, Ray and Ralph Lopez; and a granddaughter, MariCruz Verduzco.
