CASA GRANDE - Virginia Cooper, 76, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 8, 2017, at home.

Ms. Cooper was born on Jan. 9, 1940, in Arizona and was a daughter of Mary Alice Smith and Frank Campbell. She worked in the communications field for more than 30 years in the Casa Grande area for Cable America and Cox Communications.

She loved her family, community and pets and enjoyed gardening and making people laugh. She was a compassionate person, especially with animals. She truly loved the Halloween holiday, and her children remember celebrating with her.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter, Daniel Herrera, DeeDee Briscoe and Dennis Herrera; a brother, Robert King; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tondy Obregon.
