On Thursday, January 24th, 2019, Virginia Delsi,
loving mother and community member, passed away at
the age of 83.
Virginia was born in Patagonia, Arizona and was the
youngest of 13 children. She was five years old when her
family moved to Coolidge. At 15, Virginia met the love
of her life, Alberto. Later, in 1953, they married and had
five children; Rozalva, Rozalia, Olga, Grace and Albert.
Virginia was an active community member, participating in committees like the
Southwest Voter Registration Project, Pinal and Gila Council for Legal Aid, human
rights, 4-H, Parish Council, Special Olympics Committee, Coolidge Senior
Center, Pinal Hispanic Council and Head Start. Virginia loved baseball and the
Diamondbacks, reading the newspaper, her dog, Bugs and tending to her garden.
Virginia lives on through her countless selfless acts and community service.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto; daughters, Rozalva
and Rozalia; son, Albert. She is survived by her two daughters, Olga and Grace;
five grandchildren, Adrian, Adam, JR, Jason and Kaleb: along with eight greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2nd at St. James
Catholic Church, at 9:00 a.m.
